The Narrow Path: Walking in Faith

“For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them.”
‭‭2 Chronicles‬ ‭33‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Hezekiah had torn down the high places. When Manasseh, Hezekiah’s son, started to reign, he could have just kept the high places down. Instead, he gave into the pressures of the time and rebuilt the high places.

We often think that if we lived in a different time, it would be easier to be a follower of Christ. We see in Manasseh’s story that this isn’t the case. It has never been easy to be God’s disciple.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Lord, Jesus help me to surrender my all to You! Not to be fearful of man or this world, but to fear You and You alone. Help us to walk the narrow path that leadeth to You, to life. Thank You, Lord Jesus!
