Finding Purpose in God’s Unfailing Love

“Are you aimlessly looking for something that will fail you? God’s love never fails.”
Dr. Mary Crosby

O LORD, please help me remember to look to You and Your love, not what I perceive as my purpose or looking for meaning, but to fix my eyes on You and be enveloped by Your love.

O Lord, I am constantly striving for my future in this world. Which leads me to anxiety, worry, discontentment, and feelings of inadequacy.

I want my life to be meaningful, so I ponder how to make the most significant impact. I worry that what I want to do will prevent me from doing what You have called or created me to do. Instead of creating purpose or meaning in my life, it leaves me wrapped up in myself instead of in Your loving arms.

O Father, I want to live for You. Yet, I overanalyze and use my own wisdom and my own strength. Help me to repent, trust Your wisdom, and embrace Your love.

Your yoke isn’t consistent self-doubt. It is easy, and Your burden is light.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matthew 11:28-30 KJV

You can take my skewed way of thinking; renew my mind, LORD.

I don’t want to wander aimlessly seeking after purpose or any other thing that isn’t Your love.

Help me find peace and purpose in loving and being loved by You.

Your love never fails. Thank You, Heavenly Father!
